We have worked with Alex twice to inspect residential homes in West Roxbury. We can’t emphasize how highly we recommend Alex. He is professional, timely with responses, thorough, and gives you a good perspective on the kinds of things he finds during an inspection (as first time home buyers this perspective of what needed to be addressed ASAP or was concerning vs what could wait some amount of time was super helpful).

I hired Alex Steinberg to perform the home inspection for a property I’m personally purchasing and had a great experience. Jeremy and his team are among the best home inspectors in the Triangle. Alex was responsive and easy to schedule. Over the years, I’ve had home inspections conducted by 4 other professionals, but Alex was by far the most knowledgable and thorough. He arrived early, didn’t rush, and gave us his report later that day, complete with photos and a video associated with the prioritized and categorized recommendations. He was familiar with all the systems in the house and answered all of our questions. I can’t recommend Alex more highly.

Alex is very professional, knowledgeable and very experienced. I had a short time window for home inspection and Alex was able to arrange an inspection for Sunday morning before the snowstorm. He was very organized, and provided a very detailed and effecient inspection, pointing out places that would otherwise be missed. In the end he offered a book with how inspection and home works, was very thoughtful. Would definately recommend Alex in a heartbeat!

He’s extremely thorough but also a good explainer and clear communicator. It’s like a tour of your home with a professor of home maintenance.

Alex is very professional and knowledgeable, and he’s done 4 or 5 inspections for me over the past 16 years. He always does a thorough job, and gives extensive reports with lots of photos (which especially helped me with an HVAC issue on my last house). I always feel comfortable asking all my questions & I appreciate that he doesn’t rush me. I can’t imagine finding a better home inspector. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again.

Alex was highly recommended by our realtor for an inspection of our home. Alex provided a thorough and detailed inspection that covered areas that needed attention, guided us on how to care for our property, and explained how the various systems in our house worked. Alex communicated this information in a clear and straightforward manner that was easy to understand as first-time home owners. Upon completion we received a detailed and well-designed report with photographs that covered all the topics Alex discussed with us. Alex is by far the best home inspector with whom I’ve worked. He is professional, easy to talk to and provided clear feedback not only regarding the state of the condo but also how to maintain it’s systems. He explained important issues to consider when buying a condo in Boston. Further, he will, as part of his fee, respond to my questions regarding home maintenance for a year. He was not alarmist in any way, something rare in home inspectors. I highly recommend him!

Alex is top notch. I was recommended by word of mouth, so I had Alex do an inspection for us after we closed. He came early and prepared, and walked me through every bit of the property, not just pointing out issues, but describing systems and ways to operate the house well. He delivered the inspection result the same day, and it was concise, helpful, and direct. It also wasn’t alarmist – he was able to say which things were must-fix items versus those that are nice-to-have.
