While it is customary for a buyer to have an inspection prior to the closing, I also recommend that sellers have an inspection performed prior to listing their homes. This will better prepare you in the process of selling your home. My focus will include all mechanical systems, structures, roofs, exteriors, and landscape effecting the house, as well as garages and barns where applicable.

I have decided to start a home inspection business because I enjoy working with people around their houses. I have always been interested in home maintenance, I have helped build houses, and I am interested in complex systems that include mechanical and other subsystems. These interests are evident in my resume. Finally, I consider home inspection a teaching experience in which homeowners learn about their houses.
